The most recent works on Andrea di Giovanni da Murano, with the aim of providing the most complete chronology possible, are in Italian, both from a political-social and artistic point of view. Very plausibly, if we accept the date of birth declared around 1440, we can say that the painter was very important for the figurative history of Venice, in particular from the generation of Vivarini and Giovanni and Gentili Bellini, and even lived in Castelfranco Veneto near the same time of Giorgione, it can be said that he was left behind about thirty years and therefore remained in the shadow of his contemporaries. Despite this, the artist, whose works are still highly regarded, worked mainly in Venice, but to have been overshadowed by the great artists who had made a name for themselves in Venice at that time, he decided to settle in Veneto in the lands of Caterina Cornaro, the former queen of Cyprus, began to work between the Asolo and Treviso areas and her works became important for these regions. For this reason, we found it appropriate to include this obscured Renaissance painter in this study.
